The situation
A regional organisation needed to make technology decisions it had been circling for some time, and wanted a single session that would end in decisions rather than a further study.
What we were asked to do
Facilitate a strategy session on the organisation's technology direction, and provide follow-on consulting on the decisions taken.

The preparation identified the decisions the session had to make, so that the day was spent deciding rather than describing.

The session ended with a decision record and a roadmap with owners, which the follow-on consulting then worked through.
